Swaminarayan Gurukul University in Hyderabad Soon

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School Group came forward to set up a Gurukul University in Hyderabad. Representatives of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School ?- Devi Prasad Swamy, Sarwamangala Swamy and Nischala Swamy called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Secretariat on Thursday.

Conveying Swamiji's blessings the representatives briefed him on their activities. They said that Swami Narayan Gurukul was a prestigious institute in the country working for the last six decades to keep up and uplift country's heritage, culture, tradition and values. They told the Chief Minister that the Gurukul Group of Educational Institutes had more than 30 branches in five states including Telangana as well as in the USA. They requested the Chief Minister to provide land to establish Swaminarayan Gurukul University in and around Hyderabad as well as a place to establish an eye hospital.

Responding positively to their request, the Chief Minister suggested that instead of locating the university in Hyderabad they may go a little away in view of the congestion in Hyderabad due to several institutes. He told them that he would identify a suitable place for this purpose shortly.
