Teachers to get lessons for better results

After the Class X and XII results were announced on Tuesday, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is now gearing to improve the next year's results. For this, it has decided to train private school teachers too from each district besides government teachers. The training is expected to start soon.

The pass percentages of both high school and higher secondary exams have seen an overall dip this year. While in class X, a dip of 2.71% for regular students and 4.41% for private students was seen, in class XII the figures were 3.74% for regular and 2.92% for private respectively.

Talking to TOI, chairman of the board Swadeep Singh said, "We are not just increasing focus on the model questions and answers booklets but are also going to train private school teachers of classes X and XII in each district along with the government teachers as ultimately they are the ones who interact with the students. If they are trained properly, it would give a fillip to the morale of students and also the overall understanding."

He added that the modules for training schedule have already been prepared and would be dispatched soon.

The private schools have fared better in the high school results with a pass percentage of 55.24% compared to 48.33% for government schools.

On the other hand, government schools have done better in higher secondary results compared to private schools.

While 67.62% students of government schools passed XII, only 63.15% private school students passed.
