Telangana to hold its first State Eligibility Test in 2017: Telangana will hold its first State Eligibility Test SET one year from now. The move comes after the UGC stipends consent to Osmania University for holding the examination.

Despite the fact that UGC is a national-level test, the state-level test was brought contemplating the subjects at local level. In 2013, the state qualification test was advised for 27 subjects. This year Osmania University has included two more subjects.

UGC has allowed accreditation to Osmania University to lead the state qualification test (SET) in 29 subjects once in a year for the following three years. UGC made it clear that the college needs to entirely take after the UGC rules while holding the SET.

Osmania University will discharge the notice for State Eligibility Test in January. The lesser speakers can't make a difference for the senior posts without qualifying SET as the exam is compulsory for advancements too. SET is likewise required for contract workers to be considered for empty positions in the state. In addition, the examination is likewise a preparatory model for admission to PhD situates in Telangana.
