The UttarPradesh Board high school and intermediate examinations for 2016 will be conducted from 18th February on wards.

The high school examination will be held in 15 working days and would conclude on 9th March while intermediate examinations will be held in 25 working days to end on 21st March, 2016.

The Board realizing the pressure faced by examinees before examination of major subjects in high school science stream has tried to give reasonable gaps for its preparations. In high school examinations, Hindi paper would be held on 18th February followed by Mathematics on 23rd February and Science on 26th February. Further after a gap three days English paper would be held on 1st March and Social Science examination on 9th March.

The examinations would be conducted in two shifts - from 7.30 am to 10.45 am and from 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm.

A total of 67,93,034 students are registered for the examinations including 37,49,977 students for high school and 30,43,057 students for intermediate examination. According to Secretary UP Board Shail Yadav, as compared to last year, 3.69 lakh additional students - 2.51 lakh in Class 10 and 1.18 lakh in Class 12 - would take the examinations this year.

?For high school examination, 37,49,977 students have enrolled for 2016 as compared to 34,98,430 students in 2015. This year 30,43,057 students have enrolled for intermediate examination as compared to 29,24,768 students last year,? she said.
