Three internships in IFHE course

HYDERABAD: The B.Tech course offered by the Icfai Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) University has made three internships mandatory for all its B.Tech students thus exposing them to the industry throughout the course.

The first internship of two-and-a-half months will be in the first year followed by similar duration in the second year.

The third internship of five-and-a-half months is must in the final year. “The three internships will help students understand the realities of the industry and learn directly on the job,” said B.V. Rama Murthy, Area Manager, South, at a press conference here.

He said internship is unique in the sense that most of the students are placed during internship itself thereby enabling the companies to gauge the performance and absorb them.

Admissions would be done based on the rank obtained in any engineering entrance test conducted across the country.

The B.Tech programmes are being offered in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Course fee

The programme is residential and the course fee is Rs. 80,000 per semester excluding hostel charges.
