The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has published the exam dates for the Telangana EAMCET (engineering, agriculture, medical common entrance test). The exam is scheduled to be held from May 2 to May 5.
Last year, the exam was conducted on May 12 and the results for the same were released on May 23.
About the exam:
The exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) for admission into the first year of under graduate professional courses offered in the universities and private unaided and affiliated professional colleges in the state.
About TSCHE:
According to the official website, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, a statutory body of the state government, constituted by the provisions of a government ABSTRACT, G.O. Ms. No 5. The council is primarily a coordinating body between the University Grants Commission (UGC), the State Government and the Universities. It is the general duty of the Council to coordinate and determine standards in institutions of Higher Education, Research, Scientific and Technical Institutions in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission from time to time. The Act 16 of 1988 envisages three distinct functions (a) Planning and Coordination, (b) Academic Functions and (c) Advisory Functions.
