UGC NET Exam to be conducted twice a year

 The UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) will be held twice from this year onwards, once in July and then again in December, by the newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA).

The UGC NET 2018 will be conducted in online mode from 02nd December to 16th December 2018. Interested candidates can read this notification for more information associated with the UGC NET 2018 regarding its application form, registration process, exam pattern, important dates etc. cn be seen in UGC NET 2018 Notification -December

Till recently, the CBSE conducted the NET but from Dec 2018 onwards, the UGC- NET will be conducted by the NTA

On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Last year (2017) there was a announcement from the HRD Ministry regarding UGC NET Exam that it will be conducted only once a year from 2018..
