The UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) will be held twice from this year onwards, once in July and then again in December, by the newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA).

Till recently, the CBSE conducted the NET but from Dec 2018 onwards, the UGC- NET will be conducted by the NTA
