The Uttar Pradesh basic education department has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2017.
All the interested candidates are requested to apply though prescribed format latest by September 8 at upbasiceduboard.gov.in
This year, the UPTET exam will be held on October 15 at various test centres across the state.
How to apply for UPTET 2017:
Log in to the official website, upbasiceduboard.gov.in
On the homepage, click on the UPTET link
There will be a link for notification, application and other links
Click on the 'apply online' link
Enter the required details
Complete the payment process
Click to submit
Note: As reported by The Indian Express, the contractual teachers or the Shiksha Mitra can also appear for TET to claim their eligibility for the post of teachers in primary schools.
Paper pattern:
The education department will conduct two papers -- one for teachers for class 1 to 5 and one for class 6 to 8
Those aspirants who meet the eligibility for both papers can submit options for both the papers
The exam will consist of objective type questions
Important dates:
Last date for registration: September 8 till 6 pm
Last date to submit application fee: September 11
Last date to complete online application process: September 13 till 6 pm
Correction in application form: September 15 (12 pm) to September 19 (till 6 pm)
About UPTET:
Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from classes 1 to 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for classes 1 to 5 while Paper 2 is for those opting for classes 6 to 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.
