Vignan varsity admission test on April 24

GUNTUR: The admission test of Vignan University, V-SAT 2011, will be held on April 24, Vice-Chancellor V. Govardhana Rao said here on Monday. The last date for submitting applications forms is April 15.

The test will be held at Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Hyderabad and the applications are available at all head post offices and State Bank of India branches.

Dr. Rao said top rankers in V-SAT could avail themselves scholarships. The top rankers would get 100 per cent waiver in tuition fee, those who secured ranks from 101-300 would get 50 per cent fee waiver, and those, who secured ranks from 301-500, could avail 25 per cent fee waiver. Apart from the regular courses in electronics, computers, electrical, and mechanical engineering, the Vignan University is offering two new courses in automobile engineering and textile engineering from the academic year 2011-12, Dr. Rao said.
