I had very great experience at this college. The faculties are very supportive and dedicated. They are very updated, they use the new methods to teach, like projector, PPTs, MCQs practices. They encourage us to participate in various research purposes, Continuing Medical Education(CME) and workshops. It is one of the top institutes of India, with all facilities and infrastructure. The attached hospital is enough large with all departments and specialisations. The students organise an annual fest at the end of year dedicated towards most senior batch of the college. I chose MBBS because I am interested in medical science and human body. This college is perfect to achieve my aim is becoming a doctor. To get admission at the college one must clear NEET( National Eligibility cum Entrance test) and secure a good rank. Then selection is based on rank of the students apply for the college. The allotment is done by counselling like state and all India counselling bodies. After the allotment, one has to go to college with all required documents and get admission. Professional examination by the university is conducted one time in a year. They prepare ua for the real life challenges from various practical classes. The fees of my course is Rs 30000 per year for the 4 years. Here is my fees structure for the year Tuition fees: 18,000 Admission fees: 2,000 Caution money (refundable): 10,000 Development fees: 2,000 Miscellaneous/other fees: 4,000 Hostel fees: 6000 Total fees:42,000 For the rest years fees does not include admission and caution money, so it is 30,000 For the reserved categories, the fees per year is 21,000. The state students get scholarship of there full fees only if they are eligible. The faculties at Motilal Nehru medical college, are from strong academic backgrounds holding MD/MS and PhD degree in their respective disciplines. Many senior professor are very much renowned in all over India for their teaching methods. The teaching methods include traditional as well as modern ways. They use Laptops, PPTs and Blackboards. Small group teaching (SGTs) are also conducted here. The faculties members are always ready to answer all questions related to their subject. The teacher to student ratio is about 1:10. After the intership there is a bond of 2 years which must be fulfilled by working in government hospitals and rural hospitals as posted by the government. On the intership, we get Rs 12000 per month. And in the next 2 years the salary varies from 80k to 1 lakh per month. Yes college provides hostels to the students. There 5 wings in boys hostel. In the first year we get sharing room between two boys. In Next years we get single rooms for one student. The hostel quality is quite well as it is government property. The mess provide good quality of food. Yes girls and boys hostel are separate. I have stayed in the hostel they are really good. The campus academic blocks are quite old, but provides all facilities that are required for better studies. The campus is located in the centre of Prayagraj with well connected routes. The classroom are very large to easily accomodate 200 students. There is one central library also with well air conditioners. The labs are present in various departments wherever required with all equipments. There is a big newly constructed auditorium which is air conditioned. Many canteens are present attached with the hostels. The sports complex is being constructed. My favourite infrastructure is central hall with a small garden. The campus life is really fantastic. There is not much crowd in the college as there are only limited admissions every year. Yes there are various clubs in our college like Sports club, decoration club, music club and others.
