Age limit for UPTET Paper 1 and Paper 2

UPTET Paper 1 Educational Qualification (Primary Teacher)

To take the UPTET Paper 1, candidates must meet any of the following qualifying requirements regarding their educational background:

  • Diploma in Elementary Education Class 12 with at least 50% of the possible points, passed, or appearing in the final year of two years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
  • Class 12 with at least 50% of the possible points and passing or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passing)

UPTET Paper 2 Educational Qualification (Upper Primary Teacher)

To take the UPTET Paper 2, candidates must meet any of the following qualifying requirements regarding educational background:

  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd
  • Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BscEd
