The Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar is one of the prestigious universities with NAAC A++ accreditation. It is spread over a large area with greenery all over. It has a modern and digital infrastructure. The classrooms have projectors and wi-fi availability. There is a main library which has laptops and computers for students with a 24/7 wi-fi availability. It has a large range of books ranging from academics to generic. The faculty is commendable and highly educated with some teachers having a Doctorate or an Honor's Degree in relevant subjects. The placement cell is very active and help students eligible for placements all over the year by conducting workshops, events, mock drives etc. to boost their confidence and knowledge. The average package secured by a student is around ?6 lakhs. The university also adds a mandatory Summer Internship Program for students as a part of curriculum. This helps them to get potential pre placement offers and give them experience in their field. The campus life is pretty good at the university. It hosts many fests and events which are attended and enjoyed by a large number of students from colleges all over the city. The exams are moderately hard and are conducted twice a semester. A minimum of 75% attendance is required to secure the roll number and hall ticket during exams to avoid backlogs. The curriculum of courses are also very relevant and comprehensive for students. It also shapes their knowledge for future career paths and give them deep insights on the subject. It's affordability and excellence makes it a perfect choice for higher education. There are however a few downsides of the university as well. Firstly is it's low rate of placements. Even though the placement cell is active, only 30-40% students get placement offers from renowned companies. There is also a lack of hygiene in the washrooms of the campus which should require immediate actions. Overall it is an excellent and affordable choice for higher education.

Campus Facilities: The infrastructure of university is modern and digital. It has projectors in classrooms which the faculty use to teach digital aspects of course and subjects. The main library is home to a large range of books ranging from academics to generic. It also has computers and 24/7 wi-fi availability. The labs in required courses are also fully equipped as per requirement. The campus also have hostels for students with seperate ones for boys and girls. They are also affordable and have a decent infrastructure and all required facilities. The food in hostel mess is typically average. The campus is guarded by government appointed guards and hostel gates are also closed by sharp 9 pm. Late entry is allowed only through prior permission. The university also have ATM facilities at various locations for students to access money easily. Coming to the academics, the faculty is commendable at the university. The teachers are highly educated with some holding a Doctorate or an Honor's Degree in their subject. They are highly approachable and friendly as well despite the large student ratio. The curriculum set by the faculty is very relevant to the course and comprehensive. It shapes the knowledge of students on their future career path and give them deep insights as well.
Campus Life: The campus life at GNDU is really good. The university hosts fests, events, workshops etc throughout the year. Their are two main fests hosted by the university in month of April and October which are attended by a large number of students from colleges all over the city. Many industry leaders are also invited to interact with students and give them insights about various industries. The campus life gives a lot of exposure and helps to build confidence among students. They are fun to attend and knowledgeable as well.
Faculty: The faculty at my department, i.e, of Business Management is highly commendable. They are highly educated in their subjects holding Doctorate or Honor's degree. They are really helpful and approachable. They imply both theoretical and practical knowledge for students to understand subject at a deeper level. My personal experience with them has been really good
Placements: The university has a centralized placement cell. It monitors the placement activities of various departments all over the campus. It ensures that each department is visited by the relevant companies and students are able to secure their packages. In business management, the average placement offer is of around ?3 LPA -?4 LPA. The highest package goes up to ?8 LPA. There are several mock interviews, workshops on resume writing, interview cracking and securing offers are conducted by the department. Around 30%-40% students are able to secure their placement packages while the rest of the students use their academic knowledge to secure their career on their own. There is also a Summer Internship Program for students which is mandatory as a part of curriculum. It also help students to achieve a potential pre placement offer and get experience in their career path. The department is visited by renowned companies like HDFC, ICICI, Local Firms, FMCGs etc.

Start Up Incubator: The GNDU runs it's Startup incubation through entrepreneurship development cell. It offers mentorship, development programs, guidance, boot camps, events and also gives industry and MSME exposure.
