The JNTU College of Engineering, Anantapur was started at Guindy, Madras in 1946, and in 2008 it was converted into Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Currently, it is established under Andhra Pradesh Government and is accredited by NBA. As per NIRF 2020, the Jawaharlal College of Engineering ranking is 185. JNTUA offers B.Tech, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, M.Tech., M.Pharm, MCA & Integrated, and dual degree courses. The admission to the university is through merit and entrance exams like AP EAMCET, APCET, ECET, GATE, PGECET, ICET & GPAT.

Campus Facilities: Wi-Fi labs are good, and classrooms are also good as compared to others. The library is good, and you can get books which you want from any branch and other types of books also. Food is not satisfactory in hostels. Sports are good, and every year we have sports day where every branch competes with other branches.

Campus Life: JNTU Anantapur is a college worthy to spend one's graduation life in. Particularly the MECHANICAL ENGINEERING discipline is doing very well. Supported by experienced faculty, one can be sure of acquiring a vast amount of knowledge. The classroom provides a competitive spirit to learn things Pros: peaceful days - if dedicated, one can achieve anything - acquire good subject knowledge. Cons: lack of practical applications. Overall, a college worthy to spend life in.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. The campus is located in a peaceful surrounding area. When you are in the fourth year, there is an industrial tour also. It is very helpful to students and students gain good practical knowledge. The mechanical course is very good.

Placements: More than 80% of the students are placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA. Jindal, Tata, Ultratech and Mahindra, are the top recruiters. Internships are from Rural Thermal Power Plant from Kadapa.
