Indian Institute of Forest Management is a sectoral management institute located in the city of the lakes, Bhopal. If anyone has a keen interest in the forestry, wildlife management and social development sector it is one of the best institutes you can go for. The placement and the reputation of the college specially in thr forest, development, microfinance, sustainability and wildlife is very good. The campus life is certainly one of the best you can have. The average placement lies somewhere 7.5 lac which is really good for the sectors in which the students are placed. The placement history of IIFM has been very good as the institute has maintained 100% placement over many years.Also the fees is around 6.24 lac which makes the ROI good. The fees is inclusive of the Hostel Expenses as it is a residential course. The alumini network is really good and there is a separate committee that works upon the same. There are various clubs and all these clubs altogether are known as SAAC (Student Affairs and Alumini Council). The Placements also consist of Contractual Govt. Jobs One Major drawback is that being a niche sector institute many campus that visit our campus for placements are not well known, and some of the sectors like development and wildlife are also not paying much in the initial stages of your career. The placement locations are mostly remote. Anyone should join iifm if they have a keen interest in the above sectors, if not you should give it a second thought.

Campus Facilities: The Campus is built by the famous architect Anant Raje who was also the architect for IIM ahmedabad. College Campus is really well maintained and all facilities like Classroom, libraries are very good. Residing in Hostel is compulsory and due to the lush green campus which is surrounded with a lake on three sides and is situated on a hilltop the campus life certainly feels like a two year vacation on a resort. There is a State Bank inside the campus which makes a lot of things very convenient.

Campus Life: As stated before every minute that you spend in campus is a gem. The SAAC is responsible for organizing events and when any event like Kalptaru (Annual Fest) , Reminiscence (annual alumini meet), Coalescence (annual business conclave) happens the whole institute is filled with energy and joy. Not only everyone enjoys participating in events , getting to organize them is like a icing on the cake.

Faculty: Faculties are fine and experts in their respective field. Few of the faculties which are part of the administration are somewhat stubborn in thier nature but overall decent faculties.

Placements: Usually 100% of the students are placed both in the summer Internships as well as in placements. The highest package offered every year remains around 12-14 lac which usually comes from.the microfinance sector. Microfinance and Development sectors are two major recruiting sectors in IIFM. Other sectors are Forestry, Wildlife and Sustainability. Not Very Big Corporate companies come to campus and the sector is niche. Overall Decent placements and ROI
