It is one of the best chemical engineering colleges you will ever witness. The department has had a tremendous record of placements with almost 95% students getting placed every year. Students can get admission into this college on the basis of their JEE Mains rank. The counseling takes place under JAC Chandigarh. The cutoff for general category usually lies between 60k-90k but the college has a plethora of reservations for the students.

Campus Facilities: The department has all the facilities for chemical engineering.The university also has some breath taking facilities such as University ground, students centre, library,etc.; which are easily accessible for the students. The food quality at hostels is way better than other universities. The university has an enormous library which is open 24*7 for the students and has millions of books.

Campus Life: The campus life at Panjab University is astounding and the department is situated in the middle of the campus. The hostels have no timings, hence you can leave or enter hostels at anytime. Also there are various college fests and events held every year, which will enhance your campus life.

Faculty: The faculties at the college are highly qualified and have a deep knowledge of their field.They are very supportive and helpful. The course is designed in such a way that it leaves no stone unturned to prepare the students for the industry culture and helps them grow by leaps and bounds.

Placements: The department serves as an amazing platform for students to get placed in big companies like Exxon Mobil, Jubilant, Honeywell, Reliance and many more; that provide a very decent package. Many companies visit the college for recruiting students for internships and placements. However due to Covid19 pandemic, the department witnessed a slight drop in the number of students getting placed but in 2021, many of our seniors got placed.
