I am currently pursuing BTech in Civil Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur. On an overall basis it is a good college with absolutely great placement rate. It is an open campus therefore some restrictions are there. Course offers complete knowledge and is good for future studies or exams as well.

Campus Facilities: One of the most attractive features of the campus is DJLHC (Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex). Each classroom is equipped with smartboards and AC. Labs are well equipped with all the instruments and required apparatus but they are quite old. We have a good library which has all kinds of books. There is bank and ATM inside the campus only. There are shops of basic amenities as well like stationary and grocery items. There is dispensary in the college campus and ambulance service as well. There is a canteen in college itself which serves good food at an affordable rate. There is Nescafe, Continental , Indian Snacks, etc for you to binge on.

Campus Life: Many fests are held in our college throughout the year which includes URJA, our sports fest , CULFEST, our cultural fest and OJASS, our tech fest. Branch fests are also organized by respective societies of each branch. Many celebrity singers performs in these fests. It is absolute fun overall. You will not get to experience night life in the campus due to restrictions which is for the safety of students as it is an open campus. But the campus is beautiful with greenery all around and you can see sky in pretty colors every other day.

Faculty: All the faculty are well experienced and many of them are PhD holders as well. They all are NIT or IIT graduate. Some of them put in their heart and soul to teach you a particular topic whereas some are more on the professional side and would com, teach and go. They are quite approachable and you can clarify your doubts.

Placements: For the year 2024, 93.76% was the placement rate with around 725+ offers being made by 260+ companies which visited the campus. Highest CTC offered was 82 LPA and average CTC offered was 12.63 LPA. Companies like Atlassian, Amazon , ZS , Accenture, Tata Steel , Flipkart and many more visited the campus. Summer interns for the year 2024 are around 34% whereas 6 month interns are around 65.8%.
