National Institute of Technology Silchar, also know as NIT Silchar, is an amazing engineering college. It has a campus of 625 acres with greenery spread all over the campus. It has approximately 22 lakes and ponds. Its NIRF ranking is 40 and ranked 7th among all the 31 NITs.

Campus Facilities: The labs for UG courses are very good and well equipped with latest instruments. There are types of classroom, 1st one for 1st & 2nd year students which are typical blackboard style and 2nd one is for 3rd & 4th year students which are digital classrooms. The campus a cafeteria which serves good quality food. There also fair price shops, SBI branch, 2 ATMs and all other necessary facilities are availabe.

Campus Life: The campus life at NIT Silchar is very joyful as their are events being conducted throughout the year. The two big fests of the college are Incandescence, which is the cultural fest, and Tecnoesis, which is technical fest. Both fest are very enjoyable as they organizes Concerts, Robowars, Sports competition and many more.

Faculty: Faculty members of NIT Silchar are very well educated and qualified. Most of the faculty have done there PG and Ph.D from prestigious IITs. The faculty members are also very supportive, you can reach them anytime during the day.

Placements: NIT Silchar offers lot of internship opportunities in Digital India Internship Scheme and Summer Internship Programme. The placement records are also very good with a highest package of 80LPA in year 2023 and average package of 14.5 LPA. More than 100 companies like Microsoft, JCB, TATA, BHEL, etc. visited the campus for recruitment.
