Rural Medical College located in the small town of Loni, 60km from Ahmednagar was my home away from home for the past 4 years. Pros: 1.Most affordable deemed college in Maharashtra with reputation preceding its name. 2.I have met several alumini of this college, now working as leading Physicians and Surgeons, they have a lot of positives to say. 3.Clinical exposure is top notch, with constant patient flow aiding to ample learning opportunities for all 4.Extracurricular activities range from Research opportunities to various Sports and Cultural activities 5. Professors are dedicated and helpful. 6.Sports facilities include Cricket, football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton,Tennis Cons: 1.Location: Loni is a rural town, so not a lot of Dominos and McD available, so may be difficult for the students from metropolitan cities to adjust to it , but these are available in Shirdi(20km from the town)

Campus Facilities: Hostels are provided within the campus, and walkable distance to hospital and classroom Hostel facilities include WiFi, recreation room, daily cleaning, clean drinking water. Mess is student run, so menu can be decided and changed by student themselves. Mess food is no 'ghar ka khana' but the quality is good, with frequent check done on quality and hygiene is well maintained Central Library with a wide variety of books from Indian and foreign authors available. ATMs available inside the campus, so you don't have to worry about the money withdrawal. Classrooms are equipped with centralised AC and offer comfortable seating to maximum learning experience.

Campus Life: Padmanjali is the annual fest usually conducted by the final year students in the month of October. Its a grand event, which students look forward to. Many great singers and stand up comedian perform here. Last year Arjun Kanungo was the lead singer. It gives a great opportunity to showcase our creative side and take part in Dance competition or hit those notes in our very own College Concert 'Headrush'.

Faculty: Faculty are very helpful and make the learning experience easy and simple. From 1st year dissection, where each and every student gets opportunity to use the scalpel, which is not available in many colleges to actual clinical exposure in the medicine wards in final year. Whole learning experience is application based with emphasis on understanding rather than rote memorization

Placements: Internship is to done in this college itself. It is a great learning opportunity, where one can interact with patient closely, observe senior doctors and apply their knowledge.
