JCECE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of JEECE is set by JCECEB for candidates aspiring for the entrance exam. JEECE eligibility criteria 2018 includes details related to nationality, domicile, academic qualification, age, category etc. JEECE 2018 is likely to be held in the offline mode in the third week of May. Candidates must check JEECE 2018 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. As per the eligibility criteria of JEECE, candidates who have passed class 12 or any other equivalent examination with 45% aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) are eligible to appear in the entrance examination. Only those candidates who will fulfill the JEECE eligibility criteria 2018 will be able to take admission in the participating institutes in Jharkhand. JEECE Eligibility Criteria 2018

Candidates who wish to appear in JEECE 2018 for admission in around 16 participating institutes in Jharkhand must read the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. JEECE eligibility criteria 2018 is given below.

Academic qualification - JCECEB has prescribed JEECE eligibility criteria 2018 related to academic requirements that candidates needs to fulfill. To be eligible for JEECE 2018, students must satisfy the following requirements:

Age limit – The age requirement for various B.Tech programmes is given below:

  • There is no maximum or minimum age requirements for B.Tech admissions
  • For B.Tech (Dairy Technology), candidate should be minimum 17 years of age as on July 1, 2018

Residential criteria – Applicant must be a citizen of India and a local/ permanent resident of Jharkhand. Candidates applying for JEECE 2018 have to submit the permanent or local resident certificate in proper format in original at the time of JEECE counselling 2018. The certificate must be issued by the competent authority such as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State.

Note: Residential certificate issued by any other authority will not be considered for admission.

JEECE eligibility criteria 2018– Academic qualification for B.Tech programmes

Candidates must have passed I.S.C / 10+2 or any other equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry

Candidates must have scored at least 45% aggregate (40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together

JEECE eligibility criteria 2018 – Academic qualification for B.Tech (Dairy Technology)

Candidates applying for B.Tech (Dairy Technology) must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in Class 12 examination

Candidates opting for B.Tech (Dairy Technology) must have secured at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together

Physical requirements - The Board recommends each candidate to be medically fit. Medical Check-up will be conducted by JCECEB for admission. The selection will be done by the Board/Institution after the check-up. Only physically fit and eligible candidates will be given admission to various courses.
