Therefore, the State Board of Technical Education has been constituted vide Government Order No. 75/Dir dated 31st May, 1955 under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Bihar, Patna. Its basic role is to smoothen the process of managing the Diploma & ITI Colleges in the state, establishing new technical institutes, registering the students, conducting their examination, and evaluation, publishing the result, and issuing certificates to the Students. There are 13 permanent affiliated Polytechnic Colleges in the state whereas 2 institutes provide part-time diploma courses and there are 6 such institutes that have got provisional affiliation through the council. These institutes deal with many subjects like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Cutting and Tailoring Toys and Dolls, Machine Embroidery, and Hand Knitting.
The State Board of Technical Education Bihar (SBTE) is likely to update the notification in concern with the Diploma Courses Semester wise examination results 2018 for Govt./ Govt. Aided/ Private Polytechnic. Earlier the SBTE Bihar Technical Education Board had conducted the SBTE 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Semester wise examinations soon, throughout all SBTE affiliated ITI and polytechnic colleges large no of applicants participated in their respective course semester-wise examinations.
