Steps for filling the Application form are given below:

  1. Registration:
  • First of all, candidates have to follow the link given above to apply for the test.
  • Candidates need to register on the official site.
  • A Log ID and a password are created for candidate; it is sent to his/her Email ID.
  • After gaining the ID and password, candidates have to log into the website using the credentials.
  1. Filling the form:
  • Following the log in, students have to fill their details in the application form.
  • First, personal details are asked. Then, candidates have to fill their qualification information and contact details.
  • Carefully filled application should be submitted by clicking the ‘Submit’ button.
  1. Uploading the images:
  • Applicants must upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature in the requisite formats in the online application form of ISI Admission Test 2018.
  • The images should be in JPEG/JPG or PNG formats only.
  • The next step after uploading the documents is fee payment.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 700/- for general and all candidates of JRF programmes (irrespective of reserved categories.
  • ST, ST, OBC & Differently Abled applicants are needed to pay Rs.350/- as an application fee.
  • Students can make fee payment through net banking, debit/credit card or Bank Challan of SBI bank.

ISI 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for various courses are as follows:

STAT (HONS)/MATH (HONS):- 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics and English subjects

M STAT: – 3 years bachelor degree/B.Tech/B.E with statistics subject or PG diploma in Statistical Methods with Application/Statistical Methods and Analytics from ISI or B. Math degree from ISI

M MATH: – 3 year bachelor degree/B.Tech/BE with mathematics and strong background in

Analysis and Abstract Algebra or B.Stat degree from ISI

MS (QE): – 3 year bachelor degree in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics or B.Tech/BE with knowledge of Economics and Mathematics in UG level, or B.Stat degree from ISI

MS (QMS): – 3 years bachelor degree with Mathematics, or B.Tech/BE degree

MS(LIS): – 3 years bachelor degree in any discipline

M TECH (CS): BE/B Tech or equivalent degree (AMIE< GRADIETE< DOEACC ‘B’ Level), or Master’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Physics/Electronics Science/Information Technology

M TECH (QROR): Master Degree in Statistics/Mathematics with probability and Statistics, or BE/B TECH or equivalent degree. Must have taken mathematics at

Graduation Level, Obtained Pass Marks in Physics and Chemistry at 12th level

PG Diploma in:  Graduate in any stream including technology/engineering with

Statistical Methods:  Mathematics as one of the subjects & Analysis

ISI 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Duration: The exam duration will be two hours for each section.

Section: The examination will be conducted in two sections, i.e. Section-1 and Section-2.

Type of Question: There will be MCQ and descriptive questions will be asked in the examination.

 ISI 2018 Syllabus

  • The syllabus will be different for all the courses offered by the ISI.
  • The questions will be of undergraduate or below (10+2) level.
  • For B.Stat & B.Math, syllabus will have topics from Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus & Geometry.
  • For M.Stats, questions will be asked from Mathematics & Statistics & Probability subjects.
  • Students should prepare according to syllabus to score good marks in the examination.

ISI 2018 Admit Card

The ISI Hall Ticket 2018 will be released one or two weeks before the examination. The admit card will be available via online mode through the website. Admit card will not be provided through offline mode. It is mandatory to bring the admit card at the examination centre.

How to download ISI Admit Card

ISI Admission Test 2018 admit card can be downloaded by following these few easy steps:

  • Log on to the registered email account and click on the email sent by ISI authority.
  • Candidates must also check their spam mail incase they do not find the email in the inbox.
  • Read all the information given and click on the link regarding the availability of ISI Admission Test 2018 Admit card.
  • Admit card will appear on a new page.
  • Verify all the details like name, registration number, examination center, etc. given on the admit card.
  • Click on the download icon provided on the top left corner of the web page. Save the file and download it for further usage.

ISI 2018 Result

Candidates who have appeared in the examination, can check their result via online mode through the website. ISI 2018 result will be declared in the month of June 2018. Candidates have to enter the required details like Roll Number to check the result. Students are advised to keep a printout of the result and preserve it for future use.

ISI 2018 Counselling

The selection process of candidates in various courses is conducted on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in ISI Test 2018.

The selection process for various courses is as follows:

B.Stat. and B.Math: Candidates are selected on the basis of scores of both the tests. ISI releases a cut off which decides that a candidate will be called for interviews or not. Also, INMO awardees will be called for interview session directly. Such candidates are not required to appear in ISI Admission Test 2018.

After the interview session is conducted, a final list is prepared of candidates who have qualified the interviews.

M.Stat and M.Math: The selection procedure here is a bit complex.

Candidates who have successfully obtained their respective Honors degree will be admitted directly to ISI Calcutta campus.

However, candidates with a Pass (Non-honors) degree will need to appear in ISI Admission test 2018 and then appear for interviews, on the basis of which a candidate will be allotted seat in either Delhi or Chennai campus for the first year.

MS (QE) and MS (QMS): Candidates in these two courses will be selected on the basis of interview.

MS (LIS): Candidates for this course may get selected directly on the basis of their scores in ISI test 2018 and past academic records.

Tech. (CS) and M. Tech. (QROR): The selection in these courses is also done on the basis of scores in entrance test and Interview.
