Kerala SET 2018 Application Form

Kerala SET application form is made available online on the official website of the exam, that is, www.lbscentre.org or www.lbskerala.com. All candidates need to submit their application form and pay the fee in order to receive the Site Access Key as well as Application Number.

Step 1: Pay the application fee

Candidates need to pay Kerala State Eligibility Test application fee in advance to obtain the Site Access Key along with the Application Number for online registration.

The official website informs: “The fee for the test can be remitted in any selected office or branch of a service provider to be notified later. A card with Site Access Key and Application Number shall be issued to all the candidates who remit the prescribed fee. SC/ST/VH/PH candidates should produce a copy of the Community Certificate/Disability Certificate to get the Site Access Key and Application Number (for Rs 375). Fee once remitted shall not be refunded. Candidates residing in Kerala shall not be issued the Site Access Key and Application Number through post”

Step 2: Visit the official website of Kerala SET exam

Here, candidates need to click on the ‘Online Registration’ button and fill-in their Application Number and the Site Access Key. Thereafter, candidates will be prompted to upload their photograph.

Step 3: Upload photograph

In KSET application form, candidates need to upload their photograph which should be of 200 pixels in height and 150 pixels in width. The image should be in JPG format and should not exceed 30 KB in size.

Step 4: Fill Kerala SET application form

After successfully uploading the photograph, candidates will be prompted to fill their KSET application form. Candidates need to ensure that they fill all the details in the application form carefully. Once all the details are filled, candidates need to click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Step 5: Take print of KSET application form

After successfully submitting the application form, candidates need to take a clear print of their Kerala SET application form. Candidates are also advised to keep an extra copy of the application form for future reference.

Kerala SET 2018 Eligibility

Candidates meet Kerala SET 2018 eligibility criteria if they possess a Master’s degree in a specific subject with not less than 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. Apart from this, aspirants should have a BEd degree in any discipline from any university in Kerala or possess these qualifications from any other university which is considered to be at par with these universities.

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

Have MSc Ed degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Instituted of Education that are sponsored by NCERT.

Botany and Zoology

Have MSc Ed degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Instituted of Education that are sponsored by NCERT.

Have MSc Ed degree in Life Science with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any  Regional Institutes of Education

English

Possess II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with at least 50% marks as well as BEd degree.

Hindi

Candidates who have acquired BEd Degree in Hindi conducted by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from the requirement of producing the equivalency certificate, as the degree has been recognized by the Universities in Kerala”, informs the official website.

Kerala SET 2018 Exam Pattern

KSET 2018 exam pattern is such that the test is divided into two papers which are of two hours duration each. Both the Kerala SET papers comprise of objective type multiple choice questions.

Marking scheme

For every correct answer in both, Paper I and Paper II, aspirants will be awarded one mark. The only exception being for Mathematics and Statistics subjects in Paper II wherein each correct answer leads to 1.5 marks being added to an aspirant’s total marks. There is no negative marking in KSET 2018 exam.

Kerala SET 2018 Admit Card

Kerala SET admit card is issued to all the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form for the state eligibility test. Candidates will be informed about the availability of the admit card for KSET exam on the official website of the exam as well as all national dailies.
