I am currently in the 5th semester of B.E ( CSE ) at Chitkara University, Punjab. My college experiences have been really wild with some really good and others that no should ever come across. There are many pros of the university such as having a diverse culture among the students, the campus life, great infrastructure and great support staff. Talking about cons, the faculty is very poor here, overcrowding due to bad management of the university, with the college fees hiking every year. The university may be good but there is too much crowd/ students in the university which sometimes makes it a very annoying place.

Campus Facilities: The hostel accommodation services provided by the university is very poor and at times too much restrictions are being put out. The mess is overall good with average food on most days but special meal on some days of the week. The infrastructure is the mainly the best thing of the university with several new buildings been constructed equipped with modern technologies. Atm machines are built in the university campus and are easy to access. The classrooms are fully conditions but is in dire need of maintenance. Talking about libraby, it is been bombarded with latest books over period of time. It helps us solving our various problems.

Campus Life: Best events as i recall is the Ammy Virk concert being organized in campus. We were thrilled with joy after that one of a hell experience. Also , regular DJ nights are being organized by the committee. Not to forget the fun events organized by various clubs. We made rangolis at Diwali and also had a blast at Lohri when we went for the bonfire with special Punjabi dishes being cooked that day.

Faculty: The faculty here is very poor, less experienced and has a low level of knowledge that is at least expected from. The education level is very low and their teaching methods are even worse. Durning the exams , we all had to study online and prepare ourselves by our own. No such aid was given by the teachers.

Placements: We are given the chance to sit for the internship program offered by the university at the end of 5th semester. Many companies such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture come to university almost every year to take a large number of students for their internship programs. Also companies llike Amazon offers some of the highest packages being around 34lpa. Last year , the highest package received was 32 lakhs per annum for the job of Data Analyst ( company - cant recall )

Campus/Events:

Start Up Incubator: Our college has its own E-CELL club which helps promoting startup culture among students by solving their problems and giving them the right thing to boost their startups. Also, our college has been registered with various patents and research papers being done by the students. The Ecell provides us with many new ideas for our startups and help us in taking the right steps and decisions to do so. The club organized an event Au finance group came to our college discussing about work culture and their future plans for the company
