AP EDCET 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

AP EAPCET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) sets specific eligibility criteria that every aspirant must satisfy to participate in the entrance exam and pursue undergraduate courses in Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy across Andhra Pradesh. The AP EDCET 2026 eligibility criteria is defined in terms of nationality, domicile, age, academic qualifications, and minimum marks requirements.

Nationality and Domicile:

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are also eligible.
  • The candidate must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and should satisfy the state's local/non-local status requirements as per education admission regulations.

  • For Engineering and Pharmacy, candidates must be at least 16 years old by the year-end of admission and there is no upper age cap.
  • For Agriculture, B.Tech Dairy Tech, Food Science & Technology, the candidate should be 17 years old by December 31, 2026. For general and OBC categories, the upper age is 22 years, while for SC/ST it is 25 years.

Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate exam (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

  • For Engineering: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry must be subjects taken at 10+2 level. Diploma holders in Engineering or equivalent are also eligible.
  • For Agriculture & Allied Courses: Candidates may have relevant subjects such as Physical/Biological sciences, Agriculture, or vocational subjects as listed in official guidelines.

Pharmacy aspirants require Biology or Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in their qualifying exam.

Marks Requirement

  • General category candidates: Minimum 45% marks in the specified subjects.
  • SC/ST candidates: Minimum 40% marks in the specified subjects.

Other Criteria

  • Appearing candidates are also eligible, with provisional admission subject to qualifying at the time of counseling.
  • Candidates from PIO/OCI backgrounds must produce valid proof documents.
