AP ECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must review the eligibility requirements listed below before completing the AP ECET 2024 application form.

AP ECET 2024 The candidates must verify their eligibility before they can take the exam. Only those candidates who meet the requirements will be allowed to take the exam. Candidates must confirm their eligibility before completing the AP ECET application form. Applicants who want to take the 2024 AP ECET must review the requirements listed below for eligibility:

Nationality: Indian citizens are the preferred candidates.

Domicile: Applicants must be residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Satisfying the local/non-local status will also be required.

Criteria for Qualification:

• Qualifying Exam: The candidate must receive the State Board of Technical Education of the AP state's Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy. OR
• A candidate must graduate from an accredited university with a three-year B.Sc. degree with mathematics as one of the required subjects in group combination.
• Minimum Score: In order to pass the qualifying exam, candidates must score at least 45% (or 40% for those in reserved categories).
• Appearing Candidates: Candidates in their final year may also apply, but they must pass their qualifying exam in order to be admitted to the college.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry in B.E/B.Tech/Pharmacy:

• Applicants must have passed the AP ECET 2024 or made an appearance.
• The applicant must meet the eligibility requirements as well as any additional requirements set forth by the university in order to be admitted.
• In each course, admission will be restricted to local candidates for 85% of the available seats.
• 15% of the seats will not be reserved in the remaining amount.
• 10% of lateral entrance seats will be available for unaided private institutions, whether they are minority or non-minority.
• 10% of the lateral entrance seats beyond the required intake will be reserved for colleges linked with universities.
• Candidates in the B.Sc. (Mathematics) stream will only be given consideration for admission once all diploma holders who meet the requirements have been filled, with lateral entry seats being filled according to AP ECET 2023 ranks. 

Local and Non-Local Criteria:

Local Candidates

• Only candidates who have completed four years of continuous academic studies in the state will be considered local.
• If the candidate has lived in AP for four years but has not studied there.
• If the candidate has spent the last seven years studying at any AP state school. 

Non-Local Candidates

• Candidates with ten years of state residency as well as those who studied abroad.
• Excluding their time spent working outside the state, those parents had lived in the state for ten years.
• Children whose parents work for the State or federal government, public corporations, local government agencies, universities, or other quasi-public establishments in the state. 

AP ECET 2024 Application Process

The second week of March 2024 will see the release of the AP ECET 2024 Application Form. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada is the institution that administers this state-level entrance exam. Applicants may complete the AP ECET Registration form till the second week of April 2024.

AP ECET 2024 Admit card

In the third week of April 2024, the AP ECET 2024 admit card will be made available online. The hall ticket will only be made available online by the authorities. Using their login credentials, candidates will be able to access it.

To download their admit card, candidates must provide their registration number and password. Please take note that only those candidates who successfully submit their application before the deadline will receive an admit card.

No. of questions: 200 questions in all will be asked in the exam.

Total Marks: There are 200 total marks in the entire question paper.
