1) A student should have passed Intermediate / Class 12th with minimum 60% of marks.
2) Candidates should be qualified in the Engineering Entrance exams state or national level like TS EAMCET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE etc
3) The admissions for the engineering colleges are usually done through the following entrance examinations.
i) JEE Main is the entrance exam which is conducted to get admissions into NITs, IIITs, Central Govt. Institutions, State Govt. Institutions and other institutions to study UG engineering courses.
ii) JEE Advanced is the entrance exam which is conducted to get admission in IITs to study UG engineering courses.
iii) GATE is an entrance exam for PG engineering courses.
iv) There are also state-level entrance exams like AP EAMCET & TS EAMCET for UG engineering courses in state-level engineering colleges usually conducted for 10+2 candidates.
v) AP ECET & TS ECET entrance exam is for UG engineering courses usually conducted for the students studying polytechnic to get lateral admissions in state-level engineering colleges.
vi) Universities and Colleges like BITS, ICFAI, GITAM, KL University etc conduct their own entrance examinations.
