Career in Nursing is one of the ancient professions which has high regard in society. They treat patients with a mother’s affection and sister’s love. The main qualification for a nurse is that a nurse should always be ready to serve the needy, with selflessness, and great affection. And that’s the reason nurses are treated as angels as they are the first individuals to receive a patient in the hospital. With globalisation which led to commercialisation, the nursing profession or Nursing career became the best source of income. Nursing career is one of the best careers which is reaping a good amount of employment opportunities.

BSc Nursing Scope

As long as mankind exists on the earth, BSc Nursing scope never fades out. Career in Nursing has never-ending opportunities, domestically and globally. With the growing number of corporate hospitals, polyclinics and first-aid centres, nursing jobs are on high demand in India. Indian nurses are on high demand in several European and Gulf countries. BSc Nursing Scope is wide in many foreign countries. Foreign countries offer respectable remuneration to Indian Nurses, which may be 3 to 5 folds of the remuneration offered by Indian corporate hospitals. Male nurses have less career scope in India, but abroad, both male and female nurses have equal opportunities for nursing jobs.

What is Post Basic BSc Nursing?

Though both, BSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing, are same academically, their admission process differs. For BSc Nursing, eligibility is 10 +2 with Biology, physics and chemistry as regular subjects. Students who have completed 3.5 year- Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and midwifery) can directly enter into the second year of regular BSc Nursing course and hence it is called as Post basic BSc nursing. Students who have completed their Secondary education i.e., 10th Class can join GNM Courses directly.
