The DU JAT (Delhi University Joint Admission Test) is an important entrance exam for students seeking admission to UG courses in Delhi University and the exam is typically organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, it is claimed that DU JAT 2024 exam will not take place in 2024. The exam has been scrapped, and admission to all UG and PG programs in Delhi University, including BMS, BA (Hons) Business Economics, and BBA, will be based on CUET (the Common Universities Entrance Test) 2024.

The DU JAT 2024 is a competitive selection process, and candidates need to score well to secure their seat in the desired course. The exam consists of 100 questions with a total of 400 marks. Successful candidates who clear the exam are called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. These rounds are crucial for finalizing the admission process. Although the DU JAT 2024 exam has been scrapped, admission to both UG and PG programs in Delhi University will now be based on the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2024.

DU JAT – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the DU JAT 2024 are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria that are listed below.

  • Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates should have qualified 10+2 level examination with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
  • Candidates should have at least English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with other subjects in their 10+2 level.

DU JAT – Registration/Application Process

The registration and application process is conducted online and will begin on 2nd March 2024 and will continue till the end of March 2024.

Step – 1: Candidates are required to visit the official website and create a profile.

Step – 2: Candidates are then required to register themselves online through the website portal and follow the steps. After registration is done, candidates are then required to fill in the application form.

Step – 3: In the final step, candidates are then required to make the payment for the application form in online mode only. Candidates of General/ OBC are required to pay INR 500 and candidates belonging from reserved categories (SC/ ST/ PWD) will have to pay INR 250.

DU JAT – Availing of Admit Card

Candidates appearing for the DU JAT 2024 will be able to download their admit cards online. No admit cards will be sent to the postal address of the candidates. These admit cards will be available in April 2024. All the candidates should go through the details provided in their respective hall tickets/admit cards before appearing in the exam venue.

DU JAT – Syllabus

The syllabus for DU JAT 2024 is divided into four sections, which include:

  • Quantitative Ability: This section tests the candidate's numerical and computational skills. It includes topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
  • General English: This section assesses the candidate's English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. It may include questions related to reading comprehension, sentence correction, and error detection.
  • Reasoning and Analytical Ability: This section tests the candidate's logical reasoning and analytical skills. It includes topics such as analogies, series, classification, and pattern-based questions.
  • Business and General Awareness: This section evaluates the candidate's general knowledge of business and current affairs. It may include questions related to business terms, concepts, and events, as well as general knowledge questions

DU JAT 2024 – Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and consists of 100 objective-type questions with a total of 400 marks.

Time Limit: 2 hours

Marking: There is a negative marking scheme of 1/3 for every incorrect response i.e., 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For each correct answer 3 marks will be given.
