IRMA 2018 is a computer-based test conducted by the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). FOR IRMA exam, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/ XAT scores. IRMA Syllabus 2018 will be based on the topics studied at Graduation level. Candidates in IRMA 2018 will be tested in 4 main areas viz. English, Quantitative Ability, Analytic Reasoning and Issues of Social Concern. There are a total of 200 questions that must be completed in 2 hours. The exam is set to be conducted in February 2018.

There will be 2 Comprehension passages and each will be around 200-300 words.

Issues of Social Concern IRMA Syllabus:

This is the unique part of the IRMA examination. This IRMA test section will be challenging the candidate’s knowledge on the national as well as the international scenario.

The syllabus for this IRMA psychometric test –

• Millennium development goals, human development, HDI and its achievements by India.
• Issues arising from the social and economic exclusion of large sections from the benefits of development such as poverty and inequality: poverty levels; poverty line; disparities in income, employment and literacy by rural-urban background, and gender and social groups like caste and religion.

a] The Indian economy and issues relating to India’s national income and its composition; per capita income, etc.

• The right to information; Issues relating to good governance and accountability to the citizens including the maintenance of human rights, and of probity in public life.
• Agriculture in India, crop, and livestock production systems.
• Health issues including the management of public health, health education, and ethical concerns regarding health-care.

b] Five Year Plan- goals, planning in India, targets, and strategies.

c] Rural poverty alleviation and development programmes– goals, features and major achievements: green revolution, operation flood, NREGA, ICDS, IAY, SSA, and NRHM.
