JEE Main Aadhaar Card Requirement Clarification

JEE MAIN 2017 is an entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for Under Graduate Programs to get admission at NITs, IIITs, Central Govt. Institutions, State Govt. Institutions and other institutions. From JEE 2017, Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration of JEE Main 2017.

Aadhaar card: For JEE Main 2017 Aadhaar card is mandatory. While filling the application, candidate have to enter the his/her details like Aadhaar number, name, gender, date of birth, as in Aadhaar card which are going to be validated as per UIDAI database. If the details are mismatched, the candidate cannot fill the application. For candidates who don’t possess the Aadhaar card, CBSE has setup the Facilitation Centres for Aadhaar Enrolment in different cities.

Requirement of AADHAAR for applicants of JEE Main 2017:

1. All the candidates from India should possess AADHAAR card. The candidates must enter their Aadhaar Number, name, DOB, gender as on their Aadhaar card. Any mismatch of particulars, candidates will not able fill the application form for JEE Main 2017.

2. For the candidates who don’t have Aadhaar, CBSE has specially set up facilitation centres in each city of examination for the purpose of Aadhaar enrolment without any charge.

3. For the candidates who enrolled for Aadhaar, but not received should enter their 28 digit Enrolment ID which is printed on Aadhaar enrolment slip.

4. If enrolment facility is not available at facilitation centres, the applicants should submit a request for Aadhaar enrolment. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such candidates.

5. The candidates who passed or appearing in Class XII from states of J&K, Assam and Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank A/c number or any other valid Govt. ID number provided they should select the city of examination in these stats only.
