REAP 2026 Counselling Process

REAP 2026 Counselling Process

The Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) is a centralized state-level admission pathway conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Rajasthan, on behalf of the Government of Rajasthan. Notably, REAP is not an entrance exam; rather, it is a counseling process that utilizes your existing JEE Main 2026 scores or Class 12 board marks to grant admission into B.E., B.Tech, and B.Arch programs across various government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges in Rajasthan. For the 2026 session, the online application and fee deposition window commenced on May 13, 2026, with the final submission deadline set for June 12, 2026, giving candidates a month-long window to secure their spots in the merit list queue.

REAP 2026 Counseling Schedule of July and August

The comprehensive, stage-by-stage schedule for the REAP 2026 B.E./B.Tech counseling cycle is detailed below:

Step-by-Step Counseling Process

REAP counseling is structured sequentially; missing a step can disqualify you from the upcoming allotment rounds.

1.Online Registration & Fee Payment

Visit the official portal at reaprajasthan.co.in. Register using a stable mobile number and email. You must pay the non-refundable registration fee via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI before accessing the application form.

2.Application Form Filling & Document Upload

Log in with your credentials to fill in personal details, your JEE Main 2026 application number, and Class 12 marks. Upload clearly scanned copies of required academic certificates, a passport-sized photograph, and category proofs.

3.Merit List Publication & Objection Window

CEG will release a tentative merit list based on your scores. Check your details carefully. If you notice structural issues or discrepancies, submit your corrections within the specified window before the final merit list locks down.

4.Choice Filling & Locking

This is the most critical phase. Log back into your portal to select your preferred engineering colleges and branches. Arrange them in strict decreasing order of your personal priority. Always lock and save your choices before the final deadline.

5.Seat Allotment & Reporting

Seats are systematically allotted based on your merit rank, category, and preferred choices. If a seat is assigned to you, download your allotment letter, report online/physically to the respective institute, verify your original documents, and pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.

Counseling Fees

  • Application-cum-Registration Fee: Rs.885 (inclusive of taxes).
  • Payment Policy: This fee is completely non-refundable and must be cleared online during the first step of registration.

Mandatory Documents Required

Bring the original documents along with at least two sets of self-attested photocopies when reporting physically to your allotted college:

    • Printout of the REAP 2026 Application Form and Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
    • JEE Main 2026 Scorecard / NATA 2026 Scorecard (if applicable).
    • Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate (serving as official proof of age).
    • Class 12 Marksheet & Passing Certificate.
    • Rajasthan Domicile Certificate (highly critical for state quota validation).
    • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/MBC/EWS), if seeking reservation benefits.
    • Valid Income Certificate (mandatory if applying under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme - TFWS).
    • Aadhar Card / Government Photo ID Proof.
    • Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a competent government authority.
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: Is there a separate entrance exam conducted for REAP 2026?

Ans: No. REAP does not conduct its own entrance test. Admissions are handled strictly through centralized counseling based on your JEE Main 2026 ranks or your class 12 aggregate marks.

Q2: Can students from outside Rajasthan apply for REAP counseling?

Ans: Yes, students from other states can apply. While the majority of the seats are reserved for Rajasthan home-state candidates, a dedicated out-of-state quota (typically around 15% in private colleges) is filled during specific counseling rounds.

Q3: What happens if I forget to lock my college choices during choice-filling?

Ans: If you fail to lock your choices before the closing date, the choices you saved last will be automatically locked by the system. However, it is highly recommended to review and lock them manually to avoid unintended omissions.

Q4: What is the TFWS round in REAP?

Ans: TFWS stands for the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme. It is a merit-based sub-category designed for economically weaker students whose annual family income is below a designated threshold (usually Rs.8 Lakhs). If allotted a TFWS seat, your college tuition fee is entirely waived off.

Q5: Can I upgrade my allotted college/branch later in the counseling?

Ans: Yes. If you are not satisfied with your initial seat allotment, you can opt for the "Upward Movement" option in subsequent rounds. If a higher preference choice becomes available based on your merit, you will be upgraded.
