The Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) was historically the state-level entrance examination organized by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, for admissions into MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses across Rajasthan. Crucially, RPMT is no longer conducted as a separate exam; it has been completely replaced by the national-level NEET-UG exam. For the 2026 academic year, the state medical admission process is governed entirely by NEET scores. The NEET-UG 2026 exam concluded on June 21, 2026, and the results, along with the scorecards, were declared on July 16, 2026. Consequently, the upcoming state-level admission cycle—informally still called the RPMT counselling process by many local students—is officially the Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 conducted by RUHS for the 85% state quota seats.

Navigating the admissions procedure requires strict adherence to the sequence below to avoid seat forfeiture:
1.Online Registration
Candidates must log on to the official RUHS medical admission portal. You will need your NEET-UG 2026 roll number, application number, and scorecard details to complete the registration form and pay the processing fee.
2.Merit List Publication
RUHS processes all state applications and publishes a state-specific merit list based on NEET-UG All India Ranks and Rajasthan domicile criteria. Your state rank determines your priority order for seat allocation.
3.Choice Filling & Locking
Log back into the portal to review the live seat matrix. Select your preferred choices of medical/dental colleges and courses in order of priority. You must lock your choices before the deadline, or they will automatically freeze.
4.Seat Allotment
The computerized system issues seat allotments based on your state rank, category reservations, and choices submitted. If allocated, you must download the official Provisional Allotment Letter from the portal.
5.Reporting and Document Verification
Report physically to the designated venue or the allotted medical college with all original documents. The admissions committee will verify your eligibility before confirming the seat.
Candidates must carry original documents along with at least two sets of self-attested photocopies to the verification venue:
Q1: Can I participate in the 2026 Rajasthan state quota medical admissions without appearing for NEET?
Ans: No. The separate RPMT entrance test is permanently discontinued. Admission to all government and private MBBS/BDS seats in Rajasthan is strictly based on your NEET-UG 2026 performance.
Q2: Am I eligible for the 85% state quota seats if I am not a resident of Rajasthan?
Ans: The 85% state quota seats are primarily reserved for candidates holding a valid Rajasthan Domicile Certificate. Non-domicile candidates are generally restricted to the management/private college seats or must apply through the 15% All India Quota managed by the MCC.
Q3: What happens if I do not lock my college choices before the deadline?
Ans: If you fail to manually lock your preferred college choices, the portal will automatically lock whatever preferences were last saved on the dashboard when the deadline expires.
Q4: Is the registration fee paid during the online application refundable?
Ans: No, the initial application registration fee (typically Rs.1,200 to Rs.2,000) is entirely non-refundable regardless of whether you are allocated a seat. Only the tuition/security deposits are subject to refunds based on seat status.
Q5: Can I upgrade my seat in Round 2 if I am allotted a college in Round 1?
Ans: Yes. To upgrade, you must first report to your Round 1 allotted college, complete the admission formalities, and explicitly opt for "Upgradation" on the portal. You can then participate in the Round 2 choice-filling window.
