SAAT 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Admission Test (SAAT) 2026 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA) for admission into various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Lateral Entry programs. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for their respective courses.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Age Limit:
    • For B.Tech & B.Sc Nursing: Candidates must be at least 17 years as of 31st December 2026.
    • For other UG & PG courses: No upper age limit, but candidates should check course-specific rules.
  • Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have completed or be appearing in 10+2 or Graduation, depending on the course.
  • Minimum Marks: Vary by program; candidates must secure at least the required percentage in the qualifying exam.
  1. SAAT 2026 Eligibility for UG Courses

  1. B.Tech (Regular)

  • Qualification: Must have passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Subjects Required: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology / Electronics / IT.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
  • Age Limit: Must be 17 years or above by 31st December 2026.
  • JEE Main Candidates: Students with valid JEE Main 2026 scores may also apply and get direct admission.
  1. B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

  • Qualification: Must have a Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
  • Year of Admission: Candidates will be admitted directly to 2nd year.
  1. B.Pharm

  • Qualification: Passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
  • Minimum Marks: 45% (40% for reserved categories).
  1. B.Sc Nursing

  • Qualification: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Minimum Marks: 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
  • Age: Must be 17 years on or before 31st December 2026.
  1. BBA / BCA / BHMCT / B.Sc (Agriculture)

  • Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
  1. SAAT 2026 Eligibility for PG Courses

  1. MBA

  • Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
  • Valid Scores: CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / SAAT scores are accepted.
  1. MCA

  • Qualification: Graduation in any stream with Mathematics at 10+2 or UG level.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
  1. M.Tech

  • Qualification: Passed B.Tech/BE or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
  • Valid Scores: GATE qualified candidates are given preference.
  1. M.Pharm

  • Qualification: Passed B.Pharm from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate (50% for reserved categories).
  1. M.Sc Nursing

  • Qualification: Passed B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with at least 55% aggregate.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of work experience after completing B.Sc Nursing.
  1. SAAT 2026 Eligibility for Lateral Entry

  • B.Tech (Lateral): Diploma holders or B.Sc graduates in relevant streams with 45% marks (40% for reserved).
  • B.Pharm (Lateral): Candidates must have a Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved).

Ques.1 What is the minimum qualification required for SAAT 2026?

Ans. For UG courses: Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board.

  • For PG courses: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
  • For lateral entry courses: Candidates need a diploma or B.Sc degree in the relevant stream.

Ques2. Is there any age limit for SAAT 2026?

Ans. For B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Sc Nursing: The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December 2026. For other UG and PG courses: There is no upper age limit unless specified by regulatory authorities.
