SLIET SET 2026 Eligibility for Various Courses:

  1. Integrated Certificate Diploma (ICD) Program
  • Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with Science, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, or a state board.
  • Students appearing in Class 10 exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply, provided they furnish proof of passing at the time of admission.
  • There is no specific upper age limit, but candidates should ensure they meet all academic eligibility conditions.
  1. B.E. (Lateral Entry) Program
  • Applicants must hold a 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized institute or have completed a 2-year ITI course after Class 10.
  • Candidates who have passed the ICD program from SLIET are also eligible for direct admission to the lateral entry program.
  • Admission is based on merit through SLIET SET-III or valid JEE Main scores (for direct B.E. applicants).
  1. M.Tech Program
  • Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized university.
  • Admission is primarily through GATE scores; however, non-GATE candidates may need to appear in the SLIET SET-V entrance examination.
  • Selected candidates are called for CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan admissions) based on GATE or SET results.
  1. M.Sc Program
  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc) with at least 55% marks in the relevant specialization.
  • Admission is based on CCMN (Centralized Counselling for M.Sc Admissions) or performance in SLIET SET-VI, followed by departmental verification.

  • Eligibility includes a Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc) in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved categories).
  • Admission is through SLIET SET-V (Doctoral entrance test) and subsequent personal interviews by respective departments.

Reservation Policy for SLIET SET 2026:

SLIET SET 2026 follows the Government of India reservation norms for admission:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST):5%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27%
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 3% within the category quota

Additionally, seats are available for NRI/Foreign Nationals under the DASA scheme. Candidates from Punjab schools are eligible for state quota under the Punjab Category, while others are considered under the “Other States” quota.
