TG ICET 2026 Syllabus

TG ICET EXAM SYLLABUS 2026 

The curriculum will be created to assess candidates' capacity for methodical thought, linguistic and quantitative proficiency, and communication skills in order to admit them to MBA/MCA programs. There will be three sections in the TG ICET curriculum 2026, which are as follows:

Section A: Analytical Ability

This section evaluates logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. It is divided into two sub-sections:

  • Data Sufficiency
    • Questions require determining if the provided data is sufficient to answer a question.
  • Problem Solving
    • Series (number and alphabet series)
    • Data Analysis
    • Coding and Decoding Problems
    • Date, Time & Arrangement Problems (including calendar and clock problems, blood relationships, seating arrangements, arrivals and departures schedules, etc.)
    • Odd one out, analogy, English alphabet coding, word coding.

Section B: Mathematical Ability

This section tests quantitative aptitude and mathematical proficiency. It includes three sub-sections:

  • Arithmetical Ability
    • Rational numbers and ordering
    • Laws of indices, ratio and proportion, surds, numbers and divisibility
    • Mensuration, time and work, percentages, profit and loss, simple and compound interest
  • Algebraical and Geometrical Ability
    • Polynomials, linear equations, trigonometry and its applications
    • Geometry, coordinate geometry
  • Statistical Ability
    • Mean, median, mode, standard deviation, probability.

Section C: Communication Ability

This section assesses English language skills, including comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary. It is divided into four parts:

  • Vocabulary
    • Synonyms and antonyms
  • Functional Grammar
    • Prepositions, idioms, phrasal verbs, one-word substitutes, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, fill in the blanks, tenses, articles, degrees of comparison
  • Business and Computer Terminology
    • Input/output devices, hardware and software, computer generations, computer languages, internet basics, viruses, operating systems, marketing, economy, Indian budget, etc.
  • Reading Comprehension
    • Passages followed by questions

TG ICET Syllabus FAQs

Q1. What are the main sections in the TG ICET exam syllabus?
Ans:
The syllabus is divided into three major sections:

  • Analytical Ability
  • Mathematical Ability
  • Communication Ability

Q2. Does the syllabus change every year?

Ans: The syllabus is largely expected to remain stable, following the pattern of earlier years. Changes, if any, are usually minor. (The 2026 syllabus is expected to follow the same structure as the 2025 / earlier years).

Q3. What are the key subjects covered in the Analytical Ability segment of the TG ICET exam?

Ans. Questions in the TG ICET exam's Analytical Ability segment are drawn from the Data Sufficiency and Problem-Solving subsections. Reasoning, Coding and Decoding Problems, Sequences and Series, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Problem Solving, Venn Diagrams, Fill in the Blanks, Pie Chart, and Data, Time, and Arrangement Problems are among the key Analytical Ability topics covered in the TG ICET exam. The two sections of the Analytical Ability section are not equally important. There are 20 questions about themes under Data Sufficiency and 55 questions about issues under Problem Solving.

Q4. How many questions are allotted to each section?

Ans: Usually

  • Analytical Ability → 75 questions
  • Mathematical Ability → 75 questions
  • Communication Ability → 50 questions

Total = 200 MCQs.

Q5. What is the marking scheme / negative marking?
A: Each correct answer carries 1 mark

  • No negative marking for wrong answers
