VOCLET 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

VOCLET 2026 eligibility criteria target candidates seeking lateral entry into the 2nd year of diploma courses in Engineering/Technology or Modern Office Practice & Management at West Bengal polytechnics, requiring specific vocational or ITI qualifications along with medical fitness.

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed the Class 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with physics/mathematics/chemistry/computer science /electronics /information technology /biology /informatics practices/ biotechnology/technical vocational subject /agriculture/ engineering graphics/business studies/entrepreneurship. OR
Passed H.S. (Vocational) examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. OR
Passed 10+2 years ITI (continuous) shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology. (Appearing ITI candidates are not eligible).

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for appearing in VOCLET 2026.
Minimum age is generally 17 years, as candidates must have completed the qualifying exam.

Nationality & Domicile

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Must be a resident of West Bengal (domicile certificate required during counseling/admission)

Ans. Candidates who have passed the 2-year Higher Secondary (Vocational) Examination under WBSCT&VE&SD or Class 10 + 2 years continuous ITI from a recognized institution qualify for lateral entry into 2nd year diploma courses.

Q2. Can appearing candidates apply?

Ans. Yes, candidates appearing in the qualifying vocational/ITI exam can apply provisionally, but must pass before admission confirmation.

Q3. Is there an age limit for VOCLET 2026?

Ans. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, with no color blindness, good health, and physique suitable for technical courses, free from diseases or infirmities.
