The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, or WBJEE, is a state-level entrance exam that is required for admission to West Bengali colleges' programs in engineering and technology, pharmacy, and architecture. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will administer the test.

The WBJEEB has released the dates for the WBJEE 2024 exam. However, the Board is yet to release the official notification and registration dates.   The exam is expected to take place on April 28, 2024.  As per the latest reports and previous year trends, WBJEE 2024 registration will likely begin in the 4^th  week of December 2023.

The exam is offered in two sections, Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry), once a year. Individuals who participate in Papers 1 and 2 are evaluated for the General Merit Rank (GMR), whereas those who only participate in Paper 2 are evaluated for the Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR).

WBJEE is an offline, OMR-based exam, unlike JEE Main. Every question is a multiple choice question (MCQ), and there are four answers available for each.

WBJEE 2024 Exam Dates

The WBJEE Board has released the date of the 2024 exam. Every year, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board organizes the state-level entrance exam known as WBJEE. 

WBJEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Applying candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Age Criterion: Candidate applying for admission must not be less than 17 years as on 31/12/2024. He/she should have been born on or before 31/12/2007. There is no upper age limit. However, in case of admission into Marine Engineering programme, the upper age of the candidate must be 25 years as on 31/12/2024.
• Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the last year of their qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply.

Engineering Programmes:

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognized by concerned Central or State Government.
• Qualifying subjects: Applying candidate should be passed in the 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Computer application as any one of the optional subject.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidate in his/her 10+2 level should have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates). Also candidate must be passed in English subject with 30% marks.

Pharmacy Programmes:

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognized by concerned Central or State Government.

WBJEE 2024 Application Process

To apply for the WBJEE 2024 exam, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps:

• At first, candidates must register with their name, date of birth, gender, place of residence, and father's name.
• Next, the candidate must set up a password, select a security question, respond, and complete the registration process.
• Enter all relevant information in the application form, including contact, academic, and personal information.
• Upload the passport-sized scanned photo in JPG or JPEG format, with a file size of 10 to 200 KB. The signature needs to be in JPEG or JPG format and weigh between 4 and 30 KB.
• Any document—certificates, mark sheets, etc.—must be uploaded in the 50–300 KB size range in PDF format.
• Using UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking, pay the application fee online.

The third week of April 2024 will see the release of the WBJEE Admit Card 2024. It is essential to bring the admit card to the exam center. WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check the exam pattern for WBJEE 2024 given below:
