The Department of Technical Education (DTE) came into existence in the year 1959. DTE is located at Bangalore, Karnataka. Earlier, the Department of Technical Education was under the control of the Department of Public Instruction till 1959 but an increase in the number of technical institutions created the need to form an independent Department of Technical Education. The primary function of DTE is planning of developing Technical Education in the state and conducting Diploma/Post diploma /Tailoring examinations and awarding Diploma/Post Diploma/certificates to eligible candidates.
The Department manages 81 government, 44 aided and 170 private polytechnics, 11 govt Engineering Colleges, and 6 Junior Technical Schools.
All the students who appeared in the exam will get the update for Kar Diploma Results 2025 and Karnataka polytechnic Results 2025 either by using their Roll Number/Registration number.
