TS Open School Society was set up in the year of 1991 as an autonomous society. It was registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Act on the 20th of February 1991 and inaugurated on the ‘Ugadi Day’ that is the 17th of March 1991, vide G.O. Ms. No.50 Edn. (SSE-2) Department, dt: 08.02.1991. It is the first State Open School in India. It is a great opportunity for dropout students to keep the continuation of their studies. The Telangana Open School Society has been dedicated to TG State only and TOSS will be for TG Open School admissions. TOSS will be providing opportunities for continuing education to those who, due to any circumstances missed the opportunity to complete their school and development education and also to other students who desire to pursue school-level education through open and distance learning mode by offering them different courses and programs for education, personal development, and vocational studies.
