The infrastructure was good and the campus is very vast and has lush green cover which adds to its very positive sounding aura and is really impressive for a good fresh air breath. Generally civil engineering students do not sit for placements, they are more likely to pursue there higher education but still what SRM says is more than 100 students got placement last year including PG and UG both. Average salary package is too low 2.5 - 3 Lacs per annum because civil engineers worth increases with experience. Top recruiting companies were L&T, TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CTS, and CLEARTAX. Almost 90% got an internship because that carry marks and you have to do it but the students who got internships in good companies are very less 20- 25%. Infrastructure : Campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but it creates trouble everytime you try to connect with by asking your authorization. Classrooms are good but not as good as labs, labs are better in comparison to classrooms. Best part is Library, it is huge so huge like 4 floors are dedicated to the library in university building, two floors are for academic related books, 3rd floor is for non academic books, 4th floor is for you if you are into research. Faculty : Teachers are helpful but some time you may face discrimination if you are North Indian because most of the teachers belong to Tamil Nadu, and South India, For 3rd and 4th year students, Ph.D. teachers are allotted and for juniors they point some well qualified teachers but there are some who are not up to the mark. In civil engineering, course curriculum is 40 years old all over India, and the same is followed here, so you have to make yourself upgraded if you want to pursue higher education abroad, I think that is the reason why civil engineers strength is very less in comparison to other branches despite it is the core branch. Other Details : In the future our next generation will be facing water scarcity, and I think it can be solved by environmental engineering which is a branch after civil engineering, I will make my career in research.
