A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Science (ABSMIDS), Mangalore – Application/Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria:

1. BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): Candidates must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The candidate should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
2. MDS (Master of Dental Surgery): Candidates must possess a BDS degree or an equivalent degree recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
3. Fellowship Programs: Candidates must have completed a BDS degree to be eligible for Fellowship programs.
4. Certificate Courses: Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 45% aggregate marks for admission to certificate courses.

Application Process:

For BDS and MDS:

• Entrance Exam: Candidates must qualify for the NEET UG (for BDS) or NEET MDS (for MDS) entrance exam.Counseling: After qualifying, candidates must participate in the Karnataka NEET counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority.
• Application Submission: Candidates need to fill out the application form on the official ABSMIDS website after applying for the NEET exams.
• Document Verification: Candidates who are allocated a seat must report to the college with the required documents and pay the fees to confirm their admission.

For Certificate Courses: Admission is based on the score in the last qualifying examination, and candidates must fill out the application form on the college's official website.

For Fellowship Programs: Admission is based on the BDS degree score, and candidates must apply through the official website after ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria.
