Honest Review of Ambedkar DSEU Campus – Diploma in Computer Science Engineering I completed my Diploma in Computer Science Engineering from Ambedkar DSEU Campus. This review is based on my personal experience over the three-year course and may help future students make an informed decision. Admission Process I got admission through the Delhi CET examination. I secured an AIR/Rank of 456 and participated in the DSEU counselling process, through which I was allotted Ambedkar DSEU Campus. In recent years, DSEU has also offered admissions based on Class 10 merit (percentage), depending on the admission policy for that year. Course Fees The fee structure is quite affordable compared to many private diploma colleges. The annual fee is around ?19,000 (approximately ?9,500 per semester), although it may vary slightly from year to year. Hostel Facilities One of the biggest drawbacks of DSEU is that there is no hostel facility for students. This becomes a major issue for students coming from outside Delhi. Being an outsider myself, I genuinely faced challenges related to accommodation, food, and daily living. I stayed in a rented room that cost me around ?7,000 per month, excluding food and other expenses. I strongly feel that hostel facilities would significantly improve the overall student experience. Placements The college provides decent placement opportunities for diploma students. Around 20 companies visit the campus every year, and the average offered salary is approximately ?30,000 per month. Some recruiters include: - Thoughtworks - Centilytics - L&T - Sony - And several other companies Students become eligible for placements in the third year. They simply need to inform the Placement Cell whether they wish to sit for placements or pursue higher studies. Personally, I cleared the selection process for two companies, but I chose not to join because my goal was to pursue B.Tech through lateral entry. Placement Preparation Tips Students who want campus placements should focus on: - Maintaining a good CGPA throughout the course. - Learning Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). - Doing one development domain (Web Development, App Development, etc.). - Becoming proficient in at least one programming language such as C++, Java, or Python. - Improving aptitude, logical reasoning, communication skills, and interview preparation. If you consistently work on these skills, getting placed becomes much easier. Faculty and Academics The faculty members are supportive during the initial semesters and put effort into teaching. However, in later semesters, many teachers focus more on attendance, assignments, practical files, viva examinations, and internal assessments than classroom teaching. Therefore, self-study becomes extremely important. Students who depend only on classroom lectures may find it difficult to perform well in examinations and placements. Examination Pattern The college conducts Mid-Semester examinations, which are prepared by the college faculty and are of moderate difficulty. The End-Semester examinations are generally prepared centrally and are comparatively moderate to difficult. These exams carry around 75% weightage, while the remaining 25% comes from: - Mid-semester marks - Attendance - Viva - Assignments - Internal assessment Regular self-study is the key to scoring good marks. Infrastructure The campus is relatively small in terms of infrastructure. Sports facilities are limited, and there is only a small basketball court that is used for multiple sports. Cultural events and technical activities are organized occasionally but on a smaller scale compared to larger institutions. One advantage is the location. Madhuvan Park is located nearby, where students often spend time after classes. The campus is also well connected to public transport, with Nirman Vihar Metro Station located approximately 800 meters away. Campus Life and Ragging The college has a friendly atmosphere, and I never experienced or witnessed ragging during my time there. Seniors are generally cooperative, making the campus environment comfortable for newcomers. Overall Verdict Ambedkar DSEU Campus is a good option for students looking for an affordable diploma in Computer Science Engineering. The low fee structure and decent placement opportunities are major advantages. However, students should be aware of certain limitations: - No hostel facilities for outstation students. - Small campus with limited sports infrastructure. - Heavy dependence on self-study during later semesters. If your goal is to build strong technical skills, maintain a good CGPA, and consistently work on coding and development outside the classroom, you can achieve good placements or successfully pursue higher studies after completing the diploma. If anybody Seriously Wants that he will do engineering then should definitely join diploma they are in upper hand. Overall Rating: 7.8/10

I would like to suggest this college because of the study environment and placements opportunities. Teachers are highly qualified knowledgeable. We got a chance to attend the webinars and events of this college. There are so many clubs are also available for students.
