Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS), New Delhi – Application/Admission Process

The Army College of Medical Sciences offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program, which is a five-and-a-half-year course including a one-year internship.

Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are not eligible.
  • Age: The candidate should not be less than 17 years as on December 31 of the admission year.
  • Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. The candidate must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology for general candidates and 40% for candidates with disabilities.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG score.

Application Process

  • Registration: Candidates must register for the NEET UG exam and obtain a valid score.
  • Application Form: After the NEET results are announced, candidates need to apply through the GGSIPU website by filling out the application form and uploading necessary documents.
  • Counseling: Shortlisted candidates must attend the counseling process conducted by GGSIPU or the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
  • Document Verification: Selected candidates will undergo document verification at the college.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on NEET scores and counseling results. About 80% of seats are reserved for children of army personnel, and 20% for Delhi SC/ST students.
