Assam Medical College (AMC), Dibrugarh – Application/Admission Process

Assam Medical College offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in various specializations. Following is the list of some of the application and admission procedure for the students.

Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria

• For MBBS (UG):Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 40%, and for OBC, it is 45%. The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the admission year.
• For MD/MS (PG):Candidates must have an MBBS degree or its equivalent.

Entrance Exams

• For MBBS:Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG).
• For MD/MS:Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG).

Counselling Procedure

• For MBBS:Seats are allocated through Assam NEET UG Counselling. 85% of the seats are reserved for state quota candidates, and 15% are allocated through All India Counselling.
• For MD/MS:Seats are allocated through Assam NEET PG Counselling1.

Documents Required

For UG Candidates:

• NEET UG Admit Card and Scorecard
• Class 10 certificate and mark sheet
• Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
• ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
• Eight passport-size photographs
• Provisional Allotment Letter
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)

For PG Candidates:

• MBBS Certificate
• MBBS 3rd Part II mark sheet
• NEET PG Admit Card and Scorecard
• Internship Completion Certificate
• Date of Birth proof.

Application Process

• NEET Registration:Candidates must register for NEET UG or NEET PG as per their course preference.
• Counselling Registration:After NEET results, candidates must register for Assam State Counselling through the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
• Document Verification:Candidates must verify their documents at designated centers.
• Seat Allotment:Seats are allotted based on NEET scores and preferences during counselling rounds.
• Admission Formalities:Once allotted, candidates must report to the college to complete admission formalities within the scheduled dates.
