Birla Institute of Management Technology [BIMTECH] Application/Admission Process

Admissions at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) are merit-driven, transparent, and designed to evaluate applicants through a comprehensive, multi-stage evaluation process. The institute seeks candidates who exhibit strong academic foundations, logical thinking, analytical capability, and corporate leadership potential.

BIMTECH accepts national-level entrance examination scores—including CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, and MAT (MAT for select PGDM specializations)—followed by a robust shortlisting round comprising an Extempore Speech and a Personal Interview (PI). Beyond raw entrance percentiles, final selections incorporate weightages for past academic performance, relevant work experience, gender diversity, and regional representation to foster a diverse and dynamic cohort.

Steps to Apply

  1. Eligibility Check: Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (final-year graduation students may also apply).

  2. National Entrance Exam: Applicants must possess a valid score in CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, or MAT.

  3. Online Registration: Complete the application form on the official portal at bimtech.ac.in.

  4. Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable of Rs.2,250 via online payment gateways.

  5. Selection Rounds: Shortlisted candidates participate in the online/offline Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) process
