Established in 2002 by the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Bon Secours (roots in 1775 French congregation founded post-tempest by Rev. Fr. Courdex S.J.), it began with 50 students dedicated to uplifting downtrodden village women with motto "To Empower, To Change, To Live" on 16-acre Vilar Bypass campus. Affiliated to Bharathidasan University with NAAC accreditation, the Catholic minority institution now serves 4352+ students across 20+ UG/PG programs emphasizing entrepreneurship through BIEDC launched 2022.
