Central Electro Chemical Resarch Institute Application/Admission Process

CSIR - Central ElectroChemical Research Institute provides a specialized B. Tech program in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering. Eligible candidates must have completed the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic) – Class XII in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) guidelines established by Anna University. Admissions are determined based on the rank list from the TNEA.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech (Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering)- passed HSC class XII or equivalent exam

Steps of Application Process:

  • Candidates must apply online through the official website of the institute.
    • They should download the application form and upload the completed form online.
    • Allotment will occur based on the merit list.

 Steps of application Process for Other State Quota:

  • Candidates must apply online through the official website of the institute.
  • The application form should be downloaded and completed before uploading it online.
  • A hard copy of the completed application form, including a photograph and signature, must be sent to the specified address.
  • The permanent residence certificate must have the signature of the competent authority.
  • Application fees: Rs. 200 for General and OBC categories, and Rs. 100 for SC/ST categories.
  • Fees must be paid via a Demand Draft (D.D) made out to the Director, CSIR-CECRI, payable at Karaikudi.
  • All supporting documents and the DD should be included with the application submission.

 Required Documents:

  • Mark sheet of HSC or Equivalent Examination
  • Mark Sheet of X Standard
  • Rank card of JEE Main
  • Transfer Certificate (or) Migration Certificate
  • Permanent Residence Certificate
  • Community Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates)
  • A Demand draft for Rs. 200/- or Rs. 100/- towards application fee
