Pondicherry University has jurisdiction over the Higher Education Institution in Lakshadweep Island and has granted affiliated to several colleges in the island. Empowering Access to Higher Education at Lakshadweep Introduced a three-year undergraduate and one-year diploma vocational programmes from the 2021-2022 academic session in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. Pondicherry University granted affiliation to the following four Govt. colleges in Lakshadweep Islands The college at Kadmat was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice-President of India and the Chancellor of Pondicherry University Shri M Venkaiah Naidu on 01.01.2022 in the presence of Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Pondicherry University.
