Central University of Kerala Application/Admission Process

For the 2026–2027 academic session, the Central University of Kerala (CUK) follows a centralized admission process based primarily on CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores. Admission is not direct and requires participation in the university's specific counselling process.

Admission Process: Step-by-Step

The university uses the SAMARTH portal to manage applications and counselling.

  1. Appear for CUET: Candidates must have appeared for the CUET (UG or PG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  2. Portal Registration: Once CUET results are declared, you must register on the official CUK Samarth portal: cukeralacuet.samarth.edu.in.
  3. Complete Profile: Log in using your CUET Application Number, provide your academic and personal details, and upload the necessary documents.
  4. Select Preferences: Choose your preferred course/programme from the list available on the portal.
  5. Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable registration/counselling fee.
  6. Counselling & Merit List: The university will release a provisional merit list based on CUET scores. Selected candidates are invited for the counselling session where seats are allotted based on rank.

Important Requirements

  • Eligibility: While specific eligibility varies by course (often requiring 50%–55% aggregate in your qualifying degree), most programmes require a bachelor's degree (for PG) or 10+2 (for UG) from a recognized institution. SC/ST candidates are generally granted a 5% relaxation.
