  • Candidates are required to visit the official website – https://www.cmi.ac.in/admissions and follow the instructions provided for the admission procedure.
  • The candidates are further required to fill in the application form and submit it before the deadline.
  • Those candidates who have a very good ranking in National Olympiads are exempted from writing B.Sc entrance exams.
  • The exemption of the above-mentioned criteria will be decided by the Admission Committee.
  • For candidates eligible for the Master’s Degree Programme are required to appear for the Entrance exam conducted throughout the country, followed by an interview in Chennai.
  • For candidates applying for a PhD. A programme in Physics is required to qualify for the respective entrance exam – JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) for the interview round.
  • Candidates applying for Part-time PhD programmes are also required to appear for an entrance exam followed by an interview similar to a regular Ph.D. student.
